Former US President Donald Trump said he could be arrested on Tuesday in a case filed by the Manhattan district attorney’s office. He said this information in a post on Saturday.
A spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office did not immediately respond to Trump’s comments.
Trump said, without providing any evidence, that “illegally leaked information” from the Manhattan district attorney’s office indicated he would be arrested. However, he did not elaborate on what kind of charges will be brought against him.
In 2006, Trump had sex with porn star Stormy Daniels in a hotel room. During the presidential election in 2016, when Daniel opened up about it, Trump bribed him with 130,000 dollars through his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office began presenting evidence to a grand jury earlier this month.
