He even visited different states, attended meetings and gave advice. In these places he introduced himself as the Additional Director of Strategy and Campaigns of the Indian Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). But actually he was a fraud.
After cheating for a long time, the person was finally caught in the net of the security forces. Name Kiran Bhai Patel. This year, he visited Kashmir twice within a few days. He also held several meetings with government officials. And because of that, he finally got trapped.
According to Indian media NDTV, fraudster Kiran Patel was arrested 10 days ago. But the matter was kept secret by the police. News of Kiran’s arrest came to light last Thursday (March 16) after a magistrate sent him to judicial custody.
Kiran Patel has a verified account and thousands of followers on Twitter. The name of BJP Gujarat wing general secretary Pradeep Singh Vaghela was also seen among the followers.

Cheater Kiran used to share pictures and videos of various ‘official’ trips on social media. He shared pictures and videos of his last visit to Kashmir on March 2. It shows members of paramilitary forces surrounding Kiran.
In his Twitter bio, Kiran claims, PhD from Virginia Commonwealth University, MBA from IIM Trichy, M.Tech in Computer Science and B.E in Computer Engineering. He has a certificate. The fraudster described himself as a thinker, strategist, analyst and campaign manager.
Kiran Patel visited Kashmir for the first time last February. At that time he visited the health resort. There are many videos of paramilitary and police escorting various places during the tour. He was seen walking through the snow on Dudhpathari in Budgam with paramilitary guards. Besides, Srinagar’s clock tower is also seen posing for pictures in front of Lal Chowk.

Sources said con man Kiran Patel held several meetings with local government officials to discuss ways to bring more tourists from Gujarat and make Dudhpathri a major tourist destination.
But he came under suspicion when he visited Srinagar for the second time in two weeks. A district magistrate informed the police about the visit of a ‘senior PMO official’ last month. Besides, intelligence agencies also alerted the police about a fake PMO official. In view of all this, the police arrested Kiran from a hotel in Srinagar after checking about him.
Sources also said action has been taken against the two police officers for their stupidity and failure to identify the impostor in time. A team of Gujarat Police is also joining the investigation.
