LONDON (AP) — Brazilian tennis player Gilbert Klier Junior, a bronze medalist on the 2018 Youth Olympics, has been banned for 12 months in a doping case, the International Tennis Integrity Agency stated Monday.
The ITIA stated it had accepted that Klier Junior had not intentionally doped and that the banned substance SARM S-22 had entered his physique via a contaminated complement. However, it stated he bore some accountability, particularly “following different excessive profile instances involving Brazilian tennis gamers and different sports activities folks.”
The 22-year-old Klier Junior has a profession excessive rating of 354th and gained bronze within the singles occasion on the 2018 Youth Olympics.
